eeef Annual Report 2015

Outlook The eeef successfully provided funds for the project development works of public authori- ties under the European Commission techni- cal assistance facility (EC TA Facility) through 31 March 2014. These investment programmes represent attractive investment opportunities for the Fund in the upcoming years. In addition, the Fund’s sustainable structure allows for creating the eeef’s own technical assis- tance facility (eeef TA Facility), depending on the income waterfall of the Fund. In 2014, the Man- agement Board decided to allocate initial fund- ing to the eeef TA Facility to kickstart it. Based on the 2015 income waterfall of the Fund, further funds were allocated to the eeef TA Facility. It is envisaged that the facility will provide these new TA funds to entitled public beneficiaries via a call for tender in 2016. Over the coming years, it is expected that the eeef TA Facility will further grow via the income waterfall of the Fund, as well as potentially by receiving contributions from donors. 8.
